Ingredients
French loaf of bread, baking style (uncut) : 1 large
Salted butter, soft at room temperature : 1/2 cup
Crushed garlic : 3 -4
Dried parsley or chopped parsley, if desired : 1 1/2 teaspoon
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Cut French bread into 3/4-inch pieces.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic and parsley until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Step 4
Spread a large amount of butter mixture on one side of the French loaf and return to the loaf form (this will ensure that there is a mixture of butter between the pieces).
Step 5
Coat the bread tightly with aluminum foil and bake on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and the butter has melted and soaked in the bread.
Note
Serve immediately with your favorite Italian meal.
